Eligibility Criteria for UPSC Civil Services (Pre) Examination
👉Age Limit: A candidate must be at least 21 years old and no older than 32 years old on August 1, 2025, i.e., born between August 2, 1993 and August 1, 2004.
👉Age Relaxation: The age relaxation is categorised as follows.

- SC/ST: Five years.
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: Ten years.
👉Educational Requirements: A candidate must have a degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or have an equivalent qualification.
👉Appearing Candidates: Candidates who have taken a qualifying examination and have not received notification of the result, as well as candidates who intend to take such a qualifying examination, will be eligible for admission to the written portion of the Civil Services Examination, 2025. However, all such applicants who are certified competent by the Commission for the Interview/Personality Test must submit documentation of passing the appropriate qualifying examination within the time period specified in Rule 13 of CSE, 2025.
UPSC Civil Services (Pre) Examination Scheme:
The Civil Services Examination will consist of two consecutive stages:
(i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective Type) to select candidates for the Main Examination; and
(ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) to select candidates for the various services and positions listed above.
